Robert Joseph Farnon (July 24, 1917 – April 22, 2005) was a Canadian-born composer, conductor, musical arranger and cornet streaming video player.
Natural inside Toronto, Ontario, he was the conductor of the Canadian Armed Forces Band sent overseas during World War II. At a prevent of the war, Farnon decided to produce England his home, sooner or later moving to sleep in Guernsey, Channel Islands with his wife & kids.
Farnon wrote a music for supplementary than 40 motion pictures including Maytime in Mayfair (1949) and Captain Horatio Hornblower RN (1951) and for the total of television series and miniseries including The Prisoner and A Man Called Intrepid.
He won 4 Ivor Novello Awards including one for "Outstanding Services to British Music" inside 1991 & in 1996 he won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement for "Lament" performed by J. J. Johnson & his Robert Farnon Orchestra.
Robert Farnon passed away at the age of eighty-seven at a hospice touching his front yard of 40 years within Guernsey.
